"Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read."

Groucho Marx

This is the page for funny reads. and videos

Seriously though...here you can read  or watch - monolgues, skits and sketches, ramblings and ravings which you can ignore or enjoy at your peril. The  first offering is a piece I wrote when asked to give the reply to " The Toast to the Lassies" at a Burns Night Supper. Some would say I was "fou" to have taken on the task being English in a room full of Scots folk and whisky fumes but it seemed to be a great opportunity to stand up and insult the menfolk in a gentle sort of way, well... that was the intention.
You have to imagine that Rabbie Burns is alive and well and working in that great City of Edinburgh in the Finance sector. The tale parodies Tam O Shanter - which many an English schoolgirl and boy were forced to learn in  English lessons - now how bizarre is that? Still, I reckon it was worth it for the magnificent rich Scottish poetry... and firing our imaginations, so read on...and enjoy.
If you prefer to be entertained, sit back and listen to Dr Edith Haystack and Mrs Joy Rider in a rehearsal of 'The Jerusalem Parody' starring those great performers - Toni Allen and Win Pagan. Then there is always the plight of the honeybee who thinks a change of career might be just the ticket - what with all this talk about viruses and varroa mites.
